Volunteer & Work Exchange Opportunities 

We will start accepting volunteer applications September 1, 2020 for our 2021 conference. Until that time, you can review the volunteer information below. 

Volunteers are essential to the success of the conference. We depend on women who are interested in the conference experience who also want to play a role in making it all happen. It takes a team of about 25 of us each year!

Volunteering comes with some financial perks. Depending on shift, volunteers receive either complimentary registration or a discount in exchange for volunteering before or during the conference.

How Volunteering Works

Once you have decided you are available and interested in a volunteer opportunity, apply by completing the form below. We will contact you via phone or email to discuss your application. Once accepted, you will be asked to do the following to secure your spot:

1. Sign a volunteer agreement

2. Register for the conference, paying the balance due after your volunteer discount is applied (if applicable)

3. Volunteers may be asked to write and mail a check for the amount of your volunteer discount, only to be cashed in the event that you are unable to fulfill your volunteer role or cancel within the 2 weeks before the conference and a replacement cannot be found.

2021 Volunteer and Work Exchange Opportunities

*All volunteer positions will require you to miss all or part of at least one workshop.

*Volunteer discounts are applied to the early bird or standard registration rates.

*Volunteer discounts cannot be applied to "upper bunk" or commuter registrations.

2021 Volunteer Eligibility Information

  1. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

  2. Volunteers must be physically and emotionally able to fulfill the requirements of their shift.

  3. Volunteers may not bring children or friends with them to a shift without special approval.

  4. Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation and food, unless otherwise noted.

  5. Volunteers must work their entire shift, arriving at least 1o minutes early, and attending any specified volunteer training. Those who fail to do so, will forfeit their volunteer discount.


2021 Volunteer Opportunities

  • Join the Kitchen Witches: New for 2021, the Kitchen Witches will make up our Dining Hall staff, weaving magic into our meals and ensuring that they are nourishing and filled with love. These are full work-exchange opportunities, meaning that registration fees are completely waived in exchange for 10-12 hours of service in the dining hall. These positions do interfere with some workshop sessions; however, women should have the opportunity to still attend at least 3 workshops and some special events during the weekend. 

  • Join the Chick Weeds: The Chick Weeds are our work-exchange volunteers who offer 4-5 hours of volunteer service in exchange for a registration discount. These volunteer shifts include registration desk volunteers, vendor booth assistants, dining hall assistants, setup and cleanup volunteers, and parking attendants.

  • Join the Green Goddesses:  The Green Goddesses include conference coordinators and planning team members. Examples of coordinator roles include vendor coordinator, registration desk coordinator, and youth program coordinator. All roles are outlined on the following page. Coordinators receive complimentary registration, Thursday night lodging, complimentary meal plans and other perks. These roles include some pre-conference tasks as well as several hours of service during the conference. However, coordinators will have the opportunity to attend some classes and enjoy special events.
