2024 Midsouth Women's Herbal Conference

The 6th annual Midsouth Women's Herbal Conference will be held October 4-6, 2024 at Camp McDowell in Nauvoo, AL. Our 2024 theme is Seasons of a Magical Life. Great classes make our conference unforgettable! We invite anyone interested in teaching at our conference to review the information below and then complete the proposal form. Seasonal Living (Rituals, Food, etc.)
Permaculture, Farming, Gardening, etc.
Restorative Activities (Yoga, etc.)
Update: Originally we had noted here that we would accept proposals until May 1 or until all teaching spots were filled. Well teaching spots are almost full! Due to the number of workshop proposals we have received, all spots will be filled far in advance of this previously stated deadline. We encourage you to submit your proposals as soon as possible for consideration. We will stop accepting submissions on Friday, February 16, 2024.
Honorarium: An honorarium/stipend of $200 per workshop will be paid to each presenter.
Lodging: Presenters are assigned to a hotel-style room with one other person. In this shared room, each presenter will have their own bed. Linens are provided. If you have friends who are attending the conference, we can adjust your lodging arrangements by request so that you can room with them.
Meals: Presenters are provided complimentary meals.
Vending: Presenters are eligible for a complimentary vending booth; however, assistants or additional booth attendees must pay to attend. Vendors must provide their own tables.
Travel: Travel stipends are available on a case-by-case basis and are only possible for those traveling at least 300 miles to join us. Travel assistance is not guaranteed to anyone and is based on funding and other factors.
Other: Presenters are expected to help us spread the word about the conference via their websites, newsletters, and/or social media platforms. We appreciate everyone's support!
*We recommend that you propose at least two workshops.
*Preference is given to workshops without slideshows/PowerPoint.
*Workshop time slots are 90 minutes (1.5 hours)
*Basic classroom setup is theater style seating with podium, mic and speaker.
*Outdoor classrooms have bleacher style seating and electricity is not available.
*Presenters are responsible for their own supplies and handouts unless other arrangements are made in advance.
*If your proposal(s) is approved, you will be offered a presenter agreement and contract. Once you sign this contract, you will be added to the presenter list on our website.
*Workshops may be photographed, filmed, or recorded. The resulting medias are property of Midsouth Women's Herbal and may be used at our discretion during the conference year as well as in the future.
