Midsouth Women's Herbal Conference & Collective

We are kicking off the countdown to our 2024 Midsouth Women's Herbal Conference with a virtual book club and we'll be reading the book that inspired this year's theme! Seasons of a Magical Life by Byron Ballard not only explores The Wheel of the Year, but it also gives us practical, simple, and wonder-filled ways of living in closer relationship with nature and the land while weaving simple magics into everyday life. Byron writes the book through the lens of her own spiritual practice and belief system; however, she brilliantly makes the content, practices, and philosophies accessible to anyone interested in deepening their connection with Mother Earth and returning to a more enchanted, natural way of life.

 

The first half of the book discusses The Wheel of the Year as well as history, practices and traditions that inform the rest of the book. The second half of the book breaks down the 4 quarters of the year and dives deeper into themes, rituals, foods, and nature-centered celebrations.

 

Our book club is free, other than the cost of the book (you can order the book on Amazon or find it in several bookstores). However, registration is required so that we can send you the zoom link to join the discussion.
